Deals completed in Wigan

Independent property consultant Nolan Redshaw has announced four lettings have been agreed for industrial sites across Wigan totalling 37,080 sq ft.

Max Property has secured two lettings for industrial sites in Wigan. HD Healthcare has taken 4,866 sq ft at Haslemere Industrial Estate in Wigan.

Cherry & Stones, which imports and distributes textiles, has taken 2,080 sq ft Unit three at Max Properties' Kingfisher Court on South Lancashire Industrial Estate.

Nolan Redshaw acted on behalf of Max Property in the deals.

Meanwhile, road haulage and transport company WE Rosborough has taken the 25,000 sq ft unit on Miry Lane in Wigan. Nolan Redshaw acted on behalf of a private client in this deal.

Northern Trust has also agreed to let a 10,000 sq ft unit at Wheatlea Industrial Estate to Mail Rite on a five year lease. Nolan Redshaw is joint agent for the Estate.

Neil Higson, surveyor at Nolan Redshaw, said: "These lettings show signs that the property market is slowly starting to recover and that a well-presented and well-marketed property will still let, even in this difficult market.

"Historically, Wigan has been a manufacturing town and we hope these lettings, to local companies, are signs of the first shoots of recovery in the local economy. The quantity of letting within a short space of time also highlights our success as an active and effective property consultant in the North West."

Details of the rent costs were not disclosed.
