Kevin Theobold has joined DB Symmetry as its national head of construction from RPS, taking up a role on the developer’s main board.
Theobold joins having provided consultancy advice to the developer over the last 18 months, and has also acted as a senior director of RPS Group since September 2009.
Previous roles he has held include as director of project management at Redrow between 2002 and 2009, and as a consultant, he has also advised other developers including Peel, St Modwen, Stoford, and Harworth Estates.
He is due to take up his post next month.
DB Symmetry director Andrew Dickman said: “Over the last year and a half Kevin has continued to play an increasingly vital role in our business and is currently establishing procedures and legal precedents for our organisation.
“In light of our considerable developments on site, the creation of a new in-house position for head of construction was the next logical step. Kevin is a highly experienced and capable individual with a huge amount of gravitas and is the without doubt the right fit for our business.”
Theobold added: “Having provided services to DB Symmetry for the last 18 months, I have witnessed first-hand the ambition of the business and fully understand the support and structures it needs in place to achieve its objectives.
“Once in post I will be managing the consultant teams supplying the design, procurement and construction process for DB Symmetry reporting directly to board; it’s a position I’m incredibly excited by and I look forward to working with the team, whom I already know so well.”
Other hires at DB Symmetry in the last 12 months include Paul Chatterjee as development director, while earlier this month, Dan Burn departed the company to join First Panattoni.
