CWAC puts Kier on Ellesmere Port job

Cheshire West & Chester Council has selected Kier Northern to build the new £20m University Church of England Academy complex in Ellesmere Port.

The 1,350-pupil school in Whitby Road will see the merger of existing north and south campuses. There will be eight sports pitches, a theatre and science laboratories.

Kier Northern managing director, Nigel Brook, added: "This is an important project for us and we recognise the significance of creating the very best learning environment for the young people of Ellesmere Port."

The new academy is due to be completed at the end of 2012.
