CWAC housing roadshow in June
Home owners, private sector landlords and tenants across west Cheshire are invited to attend a series of council events in June designed to help with various housing issues.
Advice will be offered on topics such as bringing empty houses back into use and energy efficiency, disabled facilities grants and home improvement loans. Legal housing standards for rented properties, grants for emergency works and the Cheshire Landlord Accreditation Scheme will also be highlighted by the council's private sector housing team.
Cllr Herbert Manley, executive member for prosperity at Cheshire West & Chester Council, said: "Cheshire West & Chester is dedicated to ensuring that rented properties throughout the area are maintained to the desired standards and that tenants know their rights.
"Homeowners too may not be fully aware of options available to them when it comes to home improvements and energy efficiency and these road shows will offer advice and support from experienced staff.
"I would encourage all tenants, private landlords and indeed homeowners who would like advice on grants to help maintain their property, or legislation relating to rental standards or any other issue related to private housing to find their local venue and come along."
