CWAC gets construction connected

Cheshire West & Chester Council is to host a Construction Connect networking event on Wednesday 10 September, to boost business links between local subcontractors and the council's own property and construction suppliers.

The full-day event aims to ensure as many opportunities as possible are given to local businesses. Council partners include representatives from infrastructure projects, construction framework and maintenance contractors, facilities management providers and registered social landlords.

Construction Connect will be held at Oulton Park from 8am until 8pm.

Local businesses providing construction services such as general building, plumbing, electricians and ground works are encouraged to attend.

The council said that it hoped the event would make the procurement process more transparent for SMEs.

The event will include opportunities to network, get tender advice from business advisors, workshops on health and safety, and explore options for apprenticeships and wider skills development.

The event is free with parking onsite.
