CWAC committee to consider two key schemes

Plans to develop a 111,000 sq ft office building on the last major plot at Chester Business Park are to go before Cheshire West & Chester Council’s planning committee next week, along with a Peel submission for an 800,000 sq ft manufacturing facility.

Both schemes are recommended for approval. The project at the business park was submitted by How Planning in March. The site is on Heronsway, and pulls together three sites, Parkside One, Parkside Two, and Wrexham Road Farm. The architect is Paddock Johnson Partnership.

At Lees Lane in Ellesmere Port, Peel has submitted a hybrid application for the 45.2-acre former Cabot Carbon site close to the M53. The end user of the site will be cardboard box manufacturer Prowell, which already has a presence in the town.

The first phase seeks detailed consent for a 328,000 manufacturing facility, with associated works, while Peel is making an outline application for a 468,000 sq ft building in phase two. UMC Architects has designed the scheme.
