Cushman’s King joins GVA Grimley as head of CPOs

Mike King, former partner and head of Cushman & Wakefield's valuations team in Manchester, has joined GVA Grimley as a director.

King left Cushmans in October 2008 when it closed its valuation team as part of cut-backs. He will head GVA's compulsory purchase order and compensation team, working alongside John Rhoades. Prior to joining Cushmans, King worked at Erinaceous, the diverse property services group that collapsed in 2007.

Roger Phillips, director and regional head of valuation, commented: "Mike is a highly respected and trusted professional who has over 25 years experience of the North West property markets. He will play an important role in growing our business in the region and is a valuable addition to the team."

Cushman's 30-strong Manchester office is awaiting the outcome of a review that will result in a further 80 job losses nationwide.
