Cushman & Wakefield makes healthcare hire

Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its UK healthcare advisory team with the appointment of Katie Richardson as senior surveyor in its Manchester office.

Richardson joins from the commercial valuation team at JLL having previously specialised in the healthcare sector. She has experience of covering primary care, nursing and care homes while having a background in the valuation, acquisition and disposal of general commercial property.

She will be working alongside Gary Yeardley in the Manchester healthcare advisory team on the valuation of healthcare assets for new and existing clients, such as major UK high street and challenger banks, as well as overseas lenders, developers, private and corporate operators and various long-income investors.

Richardson’s arrival further boosts Cushman & Wakefield’s rapidly-expanding healthcare team which was established two years ago.

The team advises on a diverse range of projects including diagnostics clinics, GP surgeries and NHS trusts.

Martin Robb, head of health advisory for Cushman & Wakefield said: “Katie is the latest addition to our growing healthcare team and I am delighted she is bringing her skills and breadth of experience to bear upon our business. We are receiving record levels of instruction for our healthcare offering and are well on our way to reaching our initial target of being recognised as a top three industry real estate advisor.”
