Crumpsall retail investment sold

A property comprising of two retail units in Crumpsall in Manchester has been sold to Nottingham-based property company MRP for £553,800.

The 3,208 sq ft unit at 79-81 Middleton Road is let to Johnstones Paints on a 15-year lease at a rent of £48,120 a year. The second unit at 83 Middleton Road is 1,990 sq ft and is currently vacant.

Commercial agent TFC acted for the vendor PwC, the administrator of former owner Ogden Waller Properties.

MRP was represented by Heb Surveyors.

Ben Fallows, director of TFC, said: "There was a great deal of interest in this investment with five bids submitted and the final offer exceeded the asking price. Hopefully, this is a reflection of the much vaulted return of confidence in the market which is now definitely showing slow but sure signs of improved activity."
