Crookes Walker Consulting expands in Manchester

The building services engineering consultancy has named Colin Atkinson from Zerum as its new technical director, and has made a series of other promotions and hires.

Atkinson joined Crookes Walker Consulting in the newly-created role last month.

The company has grown further with Rachel Hogan appointed to the role of office administrator after completing a master’s degree in Forensic Psychology.

A string of internal promotions have been made, with Andy Ringland promoted to director, Ben Hawksworth moving to the role of senior mechanical engineer, and Andy Portnell and Ugaitz Gonzalez to intermediate electrical engineers.

Last year, new recruits to the company included Lee Partington as principal engineer, Steven Ferns and Paul Johnson as senior engineers, Ben Gudzelak as design engineer, Sam Williams as BIM manager and Rachel Hogan as office administrator.

Crookes Walker Consulting was established more than 13 years ago and is based in St Mary’s Parsonage in Manchester, with additional offices in Liverpool. The company has 28 employees.

Clients include Network Rail, Legal & General, Royal Bank of Scotland, Salford University and Telecity.
