Crompton presses on with Burscough employment site

After securing permission for 580 homes at Yew Tree Farm near Burscough in 2016, the developer is bringing forward more than 110,000 sq ft of industrial at the former greenfield site.

The developer has put forward a reserved matters application for seven units on an 11-acre plot to the south and east of Tollgate Crescent, bordering an existing employment site.

The seven units will provide a range of different industrial, logistics, and employment space, with the largest reach 26,340 sq ft. The other six units range between 19,500 sq ft and 5,000 sq ft. Access to the site will be via a recently-constructed roundabout on Tollgate Road.

An additional unit within the site is being brought forward as a full planning application, and will be put forward for leisure use.

Lichfields is advising Crompton on its reserved matters application.

Outline consent for the land also includes 580 homes, a care home, a community centre, and parkland; NLP Planning and IBI advised on the original application.
