Andrew Booth, a former executive of Mulbury Homes, Taylor Wimpey and Calico Group, has been appointed to head up the group’s housebuilding arm.
As managing director of Create Homes, Booth is tasked with overseeing the delivery of residential housebuilding, turnkey registered provider schemes and strategic land services.
Create currently has homes for sale in three countryside locations in Inskip, Pilling and the newly launched 34-home The Sandpipers development in Longridge, as well as a pipeline of future projects. Booth will be responsible for growing this side of the business.
The residential division sits within the wider Create Group, which is just six years old and headquartered in Blackpool.
Booth has 30 years’ experience within the housebuilding industry, having previously held senior roles at housing association Calico, national housebuilder Taylor Wimpey, and within Manchester City Council. He was also land director for Mulbury Homes.
He has been involved in a range of complex residential and mixed-use development projects across the North West over the course of his career.
“I am both delighted and excited to be joining the company during this period of growth,” Booth said. “It is a dynamic and forward-thinking business with a positive and friendly culture.
“So far, Create Homes has gained a fantastic reputation for building quality homes in desirable locations and I relish the opportunity to work with the team to deliver our ambitious growth targets that will help take the business to the next level.”
Booth will work alongside Create’s owner and chief executive Paul Mathison and founder Gill Mathison.
Gill said: “Andrew brings a wealth of Industry expertise to the table and is passionate about strengthening our brand and reputation even further within the new homes marketplace.
“I’m sure he will help us to continue to deliver the quality products and developments that our discerning customers have come to expect.”
