North West accountants and business advisors, Cowgill Holloway, has recruited Richard Scott, previously director of retail fit-out specialist Barlows, as it launches as a new service, Construction First.
The new service aims to provide industry-specific management advice to save clients time and money, helping owners and shareholders throughout the lifecycle of their business, from start up to exit.
Stuart Stead, partner and head of property and construction, said: “Having worked closely with many successful construction companies we are only too aware of the challenges faced throughout their lifecycle. We provide clients with a vital advisor to guide them through every stage, building on the core financial support every SME needs by offering strategic, financial and commercial advice based on our specialist knowledge of the industry.”
Newly appointed Richard Scott will provide commercial support to Construction First clients. He has over 25 years’ experience in the field having previously worked for MJ Gleeson Group and Barlow Group. He said: “Cowgill Holloway are a firm who already have an excellent reputation within the sector and the opportunity to help the region’s construction industry grow whilst also providing niche advisory services is an exciting challenge. Take for example outsourcing; having outsourced a number of services in my previous role I understand how valuable this can be but also appreciate the challenges associated with doing so. Construction owners and directors face a unique set of challenges and having a trusted partner in Cowgills who’s seen it all before will really make the difference as their company grows and establishes its value.”
Cowgills has offices in Liverpool, Manchester and Bolton.
