Remediation site work is underway to build 160 houses for the Radclyffe Green development near Oldham’s town centre.
The mixed-tenure developer will be crafting a series of two-, three- and four-bedroom houses on 15 acres of farmland. The scheme is part of the larger £100m Broadway Green project, a joint venture between Oldham Council, Grasscroft Property and Seddon Construction. 5plus Architects designed the Broadway Green masterplan.
The Radclyffe Green houses will be a mixture of detached, semi-detached and mews styles. Of the 160 homes, 109 will be for private sale. Great Places Housing Group is working with Countryside to ensure 31 homes are for shared ownership and another 20 are for affordable rent.
Countryside already has another housing development in the works at Broadway Green – the 137-home Radclyffe Gardens.

Countryside promised to invest £540,000 towards education provision in Oldham as part of its Section 106 agreement.
Avison Young is in charge of planning for the project. Consultants include TPM Landscape, Eddisons on transport, and E3P on noise, ecology and site investigation.
Countryside is hoping to have the first Radclyffe Green homes ready for move-in starting in spring 2022.
