Countryside project manager joins Neptune

Liverpool-based developer Neptune has recruited Barry Williams as a development manager from Countryside Properties.

Neptune's current schemes include the mixed-use Mann Island joint venture with Countryside and Liverpool Science Park, as well as developments in Southport and New Brighton.

Countryside recently announced a review of its projects in the UK including North West and a reduction in its staff numbers.

Williams is a graduate of Liverpool John Moores University and a qualified project manager with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. He worked for EC Harris in Liverpool after graduating.

At Neptune he will be working on a number of projects including New Brighton, where phase two is shortly to come on stream with a hotel and cinema.

"We are pleased to have been able to recruit Barry to our team. It's essential that we have the right calibre of people looking after our high-quality projects," said Steve Parry, Neptune's managing director.
