Council’s maintenance contract worth up to £8m

Cheshire East Council is advertising for a facilities management specialist to look after its complex range of buildings in the authority.

The supplier will undertake minor capital works on an ad hoc basis, quoting for work each time. As well as the council, the contractor will be available to all Primary Care Trusts, schools, parish councils, town councils and other community groups working in partnership with the council in the Cheshire East area.

The service will include a 24-hours-a-day, seven-days-a-week support helpdesk.

The estimated value of the contract is between £5m and £8m spread over four years.

The council said the contract may be suitable for a small or medium enterprises but is open to anyone to apply.

Applicants have until midday on 16 August to register an interest.
