Council to redevelop Octagon Theatre

Bolton Council is seeking to appoint a client project manager for the £10m redevelopment of the Octagon Theatre.

The authority said the theatre, which opened in 1967 and has seen various extensions and refurbishments since then, is no longer fit for purpose.

The selected project manager will facilitate the progress of the redevelopment project and act as the interface between the client side and the contractor side, ensuring that the client’s needs are fully met in the project’s design and delivery.

The project is expected to take three years to complete. The scheme has received £4m in arts council funding.

Expressions of interest are due by 4pm on 19 September.
