Council backs £2.5m Copeland town square proposals

A £2.5m refurbishment of Cleator Moor square in West Cumbria has been given full backing from Copeland Council's executive group.

The project aims to make Cleator Moor square the centre-piece in attracting incoming business and private investment, as well as being attractive to visitors and the local community.

A £25,000 feasibility study to work out the finer details is now expected to kick-start the scheme. The total refurbishment will cost £2,540,000.
