Conygar gets go-ahead for Anglesey Premier Inn

The Conygar Investment Company has been granted planning permission to build an 80-bedroom Premier Inn at its Parc Cybi development on the outskirts of Holyhead in Anglesey.

Ynys Mon Council has given the green light to the hotel alongside the A55, which will also include a restaurant and bar, with parking space for 84 vehicles.

A planning application for the project was submitted in August this year, after a lease agreement was signed with Premier Inn. A 10-month construction programme is expected to start in the New Year.

The professional team includes Axis as planning consultant.

Robert Ware, chief executive of Conygar, said: “We are delighted that planning consent has been granted for this development.

“Premier Inn is a high-quality partner and opening a new hotel in Holyhead will provide a significant boost to the town’s economy, create at least 20 full time jobs and improve the facilities available for tourists on Anglesey.”

The wider Parc Cybi development has outline consent for a 30,000 sq ft office scheme and 109,000 sq ft of logistics space. A truck stop developed with one of bookmaker Fred Done’s property companies has already opened at the site.
