Contractors named to schools framework

Nine construction companies have been selected to deliver £2bn of new and refurbished schools in the North of England during the next four years.

The successful contractors picked by the Education Funding Agency, part of the Department for Education, in the North were:

  • Balfour Beatty
  • BAM Construction
  • Bowmer & Kirkland
  • Carillion Construction
  • Galliford Try
  • Kier
  • Sir Robert McAlpine
  • Thomas Vale Construction
  • Wates Construction

A separate framework also worth £2bn for the South was awarded at the same time; Balfour Beatty Group, BAM Construction, Bowmer & Kirkland, Carillion Construction, Galliford Try Construction, Kier, Sir Robert McAlpine, Wates Construction, Wilmott Dixon were successful.
