Contract awarded for sewage treatment facility in Manchester

Black & Veatch has been awarded with an £86m contract from United Utilities to design and construct an enhanced sludge treatment facility at Davyhulme Waste Water Treatment Works in Manchester.

The London-based contractor will also commission other companies to help United Utilities with the delivery of the facility to treat 91,000 tonnes of dry solids per annum from Davyhulme and other contributing wastewater treatment works within the North West.
