Construction starts at Denbigh youth centre site

Work has started on a £2.2m training and enterprise centre for young people in Denbighshire, North Wales, including six flats for the homeless and community facilities.

Designed by John McCall Architects, Liverpool, the Denbigh Youth Enterprise Centre is backed by Denbighshire council, the Welsh government and Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd Housing association.

It includes a college and space for a youth club.

Work is expected to be completed by December 2013 and the main contractor is Anwyl Construction.

The project received £421,000 from the Big Lottery Fund.
