Construction restarts on Bridgewater Wharf
Beaumont Morgan has resumed work on Fortis Group’s £72m Bridgewater Wharf in Salford, a site which gained planning consent and was cleared in 2018.
Bridgewater Wharf is an eight-storey development, which would total 376 units in a mix of studio, one, two and three-bedroom flats and townhouses.
The contractor demolished the existing structures on the site in 2018 and no further work took place last year. Initial completion date had been scheduled for 2020.
The enabling works are now being finished and piling is due to begin later this month. Fortis said completion is expected in the first quarter of 2021.
Bridgewater Wharf would be Fortis’s fifth scheme in Salford. The developer is on site with a pipeline totalling 1,200 homes.
The planner advising Fortis is Lambert Smith Hampton, and the building was designed by DarntonB3 Architecture.
Knight Knox is the sales agent.
Is this more Peel owned land?. Always dicking up Salford whilst at the other end they poison South Sefton residents with toxic fumes 24/7 noise and contribute NOTHING to local environment.
