Construction boss exits Pochin after 30 years

Publicly listed Cheshire-based contractor and developer Pochin today announced that Ross Murray, managing director of the construction division, will be leaving the company after 30 years.

Murray will be replaced by John Pochin, currently operations director of construction, with immediate effect.

A statement to the Stock Exchange said Murray was leaving "to pursue his career elsewhere".

In January, Pochin reported profit of £2.14m in the six months to the end of November 2007, compared with £2.63m in the same period in 2006. Revenue climbed 2.3% to £54.4m with an order book of £88m.

Shares in Pochin were unchanged at midday at 190p.
