Connectivity Associates appoints director

The Stockport-based training and planning research company has appointed Mike Gibson to the role.

Gibson brings experience in private sector town planning consultancy to the business having previously been planning director at Turley Associates and Taylor Young and, more recently, a partner with Rapleys LLP.

He joins his wife, Chrissie Gibson, who set up the firm in 2008.

Mike Gibson said: "Chrissie and I are experienced chartered town planners and our company brings together our different but complementary skills. Chrissie has been an active member of the North West regional activities committee of the Royal Town Planning Institute and undertaken research work for the planning inspectorate and the National Planning Forum.

"I am also actively involved with the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, having represented them in discussions with the Department for Communities & Local Government on proposed changes to the planning system and worked with them in making representations on the draft National Planning Policy Framework and emerging national aviation policy."

Clients of Connectivity Associates include international organisations such as European Central Banks, as well companies with offices in the North West including law firm Hill Dickinson, consultancy and construction company Mace Group, and The Willan Group.

Connectivity Associates is based at 1 Alderdale Close in Heaton Moor, Stockport.
