Conlon hands over Army base

Conlon Construction has completed a £5m training facility for Army cadets across Greater Manchester.

The Holcombe Moor training camp, near Bury, comprises a weekend training centre capable of housing 202 cadets, as well as the county headquarters of Greater Manchester Army Cadet Force. The site became famous as the location for the original Krypton Factor assault course and the new accommodation block will enable young cadets to stay onsite while using the camp's adventure training facilities.

Michael Conlon, construction director of Conlon Construction, said: "We are extremely proud of our work at Holcombe Moor. Everybody is delighted with the high standards achieved on this project and we are very pleased to now be handing over these excellent facilities to the Reserve Forces and Cadets Association for the North West of England & the Isle of Man."
