Conlon completes Lancs school

A £2.3m project to extend and double the size of a primary school in Buckshaw Village has been finished by Conlon Construction.

The £5.5m Trinity Church of England Methodist Primary School opened in 2011, and was built by Conlon Construction and designed by Cassidy + Ashton. Since then, the school has expanded capacity by 60 pupils a year.

The two-storey, 25,000 sq ft extension adds six additional classrooms.

The school and extension were commissioned by the Diocese of Blackburn and the Methodist Circuit.

Jill Wright, head teacher at Trinity CofE Methodist Primary School, said: "We're all thrilled with the new building and looking forward to using it from September onwards.

"By retaining the same team, we have been able to maintain the quality of the original building and everyone is excited about using the new facilities for the first time."
