A two-day business exhibition and conference aimed at developers and investors will be held in Congleton in May.

The event on 24 and 25 May is being organised by Congleton Town Council and the Congleton partnership with the support of East Cheshire Chamber and Cheshire East Council.

There are several ongoing projects aimed at improving the environment for business in Congelton that will are designed to complement the work of the conference:

  • Improvements to Radnor Park and brownfield sites including road resurface and new signage
  • Project with Manchester Metropolitan University to research home-based businesses and how the council can help them develop
  • Retail projects to measure footfall, empty units and spending patterns as well as identifying and targeting retailers
  • Developing apprenticeships schemes; Cheshire East is in talks with major local employers around developing a skills academy

The two-day event will include a programme of workshops, exhibitions and speakers.
