Competition Line signs for Handforth unit

The fitness and leisure company has taken 27,000 sq ft in Brooke Park in Handforth on a 27.5-year lease.

The premises comprise a detached industrial unit with ground and first floor offices and a car park for up to 54 vehicles.

Competition Line is a family-run business that specialises in providing low-cost fitness clubs and leisure centres.

The unit will be converted into a Lifestyle Fitness club.

DTZ and JLL acted on behalf of the landlord, a client of Aberdeen Asset Management. Competition Line was self-represented.

Quoting rent at the site is understood to be £5.25/sq ft.

Scott Griffiths of Aberdeen Asset Management, said: "We are pleased to be welcoming Lifestyle Fitness to Brooke Park. Their fitness concept is cutting edge and will make Brooke Park an even greater place to work and to do business. DTZ worked closely with us to market and let the building, which included a back-to-back surrender with the former tenant."

Competition Line also has clubs in Manchester city centre, Burnley and Macclesfield.
