Colliers associate directors quit Manchester office
Nick Nelson of office agency and Andy Backhouse of industrial agency have handed in their notice to Colliers International, and it is understood that they plan to set up their own asset management company.
Backhouse has worked for Colliers for eight years, for clients including Chancerygate, CBRE, Peter Stevens Estates and Ocado.
Nelson joined the newly-formed office agency team at Colliers in 2014, after seven years with CBRE.
Backhouse and Nelson are the latest in a string of departures from larger consultancies to set up niche practices. Earlier this week it was announced that two WHR staff, Gary Chapman and John Barton, had left to establish industrial agency BC Real Estate.
At the start of this year, former Cushman & Wakefield industrial director, Tony O’Keefe, launched a practice in Merseyside, called LM6.
