Co-op to push store search at BCSC
The Co-operative Food's property team is due to host a networking event next Tuesday at Albert Dock in Liverpool to target new stores across the North West as part of its ongoing acquisitions programme.
Property agents, developers and landlords are invited to meet the Co-operative Food property team at PanAm bar and restaurant in Britannia Pavilion from 12 noon until 2pm on Tuesday 11 September.
The Co-operative has opened two new stores in the region, in Grotton and Oswestry, since January, with a further four planned at Myrtle Street in Liverpool, Church Road New in Tranmere, Alsager in Cheshire, and Rishton, Blackburn, before the end of the year.
The Co-operative, which is the UK's fifth largest food retailer, is focusing on stores, either leasehold or freehold, between 2,000 sq ft and 4,000 sq ft net sales area, particularly in high street and local community locations.
Chris Moss, the Co-operative Food's acquisitions manager for the North West and Wales, said: "The Co-operative Food is forging ahead with its acquisitions programme to expand its estate, and we are specifically looking for new locations across the North West.
"We are actively searching for new opportunities to grow the business and this is a great chance to meet and work with agents, landlords and developers to identify the right properties in the right locations and in the heart of local communities throughout the North West region."
