Co-op to anchor Tranmere development

Developer Henry Davidson has signed the first tenants at its Church Road retail scheme in Higher Tranmere, Wirral.

The Co-operative Food will anchor the development with a new 4,000 sq ft store and Swettenham Chemists has also signed for one of the seven additional retail units that will sit alongside.

Andy Radford, director of Henry Davidson, said: "Having the Co-operative as anchor to the project is the perfect start to our plans, as their community retailing philosophy will doubtless engage with the local population of this area."

The Church Road scheme is part of a housing development by Lovell Homes and Wirral Council. It is hoped that works will start on site later this summer.

Letting agent on the scheme is Eddy Cottrell of Cottrell Commercial.
