Claremont doubles down in Oxford Court

The Warrington-headquartered office design firm has strengthened its holdings in Manchester’s Oxford Court office quarter purchasing the 7,071 sq ft Bartle House for £2m.

The business acquired neighbouring 15 Oxford Court, a five-storey building that is let on a traditional basis and has been refurbished by Claremont since its purchase. At the three-storey Bartle House, Claremont will introduce the serviced office space that it offers at The Breeze in Birchwood.

Mike Gardner, chairman of the Claremont group, said: “This investment enables us to exend our serviced office business beyond Birchwood and into the central Manchester market, and complements the more traditional 15 Oxford Court.

“We very much see this as a long-term investment.”

Claremont’s service range includes design, fit out, furniture and technology. Its recent client roster includes names such as Shoosmiths, Taylor Wimpet and TalkTalk.

I’m fairly sure that some office agents were involved, somewhere along the line.
