Claire House plans shop expansion

Wirral-based children's hospice charity Claire House has retained Legat Owen to act on the acquisition of new stores.

The charity, based at Clatterbridge Hospital, was established in 1998 and now cares for 200 families in Cheshire, North Wales, Merseyside and the Isle of Man.

Claire House trades from 20 shops and has set out plans to acquire an additional 12 stores in the next three years. Towns of particular interest include Wirral, Chester, Knutsford, Ormskirk, St Helens and Liverpool suburbs.

James Lutton, surveyor at Legat Owen in Chester, said: "It's a great time for the charity to look at expanding, given some of the opportunities available on the high street at present and we very much look forward to working with Claire House."

The requirement is for sales areas of between 400 sq ft and 1,200 sq ft with back office of at least 300 sq ft on leasehold or freehold.
