City plans £70m building panel

Liverpool City Council is setting up a framework for building works and maintenance services comprising 31 lots to run over three years.
The council said up to 50 contractors will be appointed to the framework which will cover work in the following departments: children's, disabled and schools services.
The framework will also covers repairs and maintenance work to various municipal buildings within Liverpool City Council. The panel will run for an initial three years with the option of a one year extension.
