Churchill Retirement Living appoints director

The firm has appointed Chris Loxton as land and development director for the North, in a newly created role at its Manchester office to drive the company’s regional growth.

Loxton will work alongside regional managing director Robert Monkman and group land director Jim Robinson to oversee and grow the company’s land buying strategy for the region.

As part of his role, Loxton will be responsible for identifying suitable brownfield sites in town centres.

He joins from Reynard Property Consultants, a firm he set up, where he spent just shy of a year. He had previously worked as property director at education provider Witherslack Group.

Spencer McCarthy, chief executive at Churchill, said: “Chris joins Churchill’s growing team of regional land directors, and I look forward to working with him to develop our pipeline of new sites across the North.

“Chris will play a very important role in supporting future growth in this important area of the country, helping us to deliver much needed specialist housing to meet the needs of our ageing population.”
