Chorley land sold to housebuilder

Warrington-based premium housebuilder Arley Homes has acquired a 2.7-acre site in Coppull to build new houses.

Arley has submitted plans for 40 three and four bedroom family homes to be built in Coppull Moor Road in Chorley.

Arley hopes to begin construction before the end of the year and to have properties on the market by spring 2010.

John Cosgrave, managing director of Arley Homes, said: "We always seek to purchase land in places which we believe families would like to live, which offer good transport links for work, schools and recreational facilities."

The site is located close to the A49 and offers access to both the M6 and M61 motorways, while the shops and restaurants of Chorley town centre are ten minutes away.

This is the second new site acquired by Arley this year. In March, the developer purchased a one acre site at Gloucester Street in Atherton from Wigan Council. Development began immediately in April and Arley launched the Chanters Green show home earlier this month.

Arley Homes is currently marketing properties at Churchfields in Harwood, St George's Park in Mossley, Byron Grove in Bamford and Park View in Northern Moor in addition to Chanters Green in Atherton.

A number of deals are being offered on its properties subject to terms and conditions.
