Chorley industrial estate fully let

Barings Real Estate has secured a full house at the Buckshaw Link industrial estate near Chorley with AKM Fabrications taking the last available unit at the site.

JLL, acting on behalf of the landlord, has secured AKM on a 10-year lease for a 14,400 sq ft unit, the last of the 20 available.

In total, Buckshaw Link includes 225,000 sq ft of industrial space across 20 units ranging between 6,400 sq ft and 36,400 sq ft. AKM’s deal follows an expansion earlier this year from Merlin Cycles, which took an additional 6,400 sq ft, bringing its total space at the site up to nearly 30,000 sq ft.

Built in 2008, the development forms part of the wider mixed-use Buckshaw Village. Other occupiers at Buckshaw Link include Volker Rail, Badger Office Supplies, and Plumb Centre.

Robert Kos, director at JLL, said: “AKM Fabrications taking the final unit at Buckshaw Link follows a trend of schemes in the North West becoming fully occupied due to healthy demand for space in the region.”

AKM represented itself on the deal.
