Marketing Cheshire has announced the Chester application for Apple iPhones has reached the iTunes Top 20 most downloaded travel applications.
Developed by Marketing Cheshire in partnership with New Mind e-tourism solutions, the Chester application, which costs 69p from the Apple iTunes application store, includes the latest information on where to eat, drink, stay, shop and what's on.
Marketing Cheshire said that within 48 hours of its release, the Chester application became the most downloaded UK destination application, outside London, putting it ahead of Manchester, York, Newcastle and numerous other travel guides.
Richard Veal, managing director of New Mind, said: "The great usability of the app enables visitors to pull through constantly updated, live information. We have spent 6 months creating and testing the ap, making visiting Chester easier than ever."
