Cheshire West seeks consultant for gypsy site study

The newly formed Cheshire West & Chester Borough Council is to review its lists of suitable sites for gypsy and traveller communities.

The advisory contract is due to begin in late September and finish in March 2010. The study will be adopted as part of council policy to direct planning and grant applications going forward.

The consultant will need to develop criteria for site selection, identify a long list and short list of suitable, achievable and deliverable sites, identify phasing of short listed sites, carry out consultation and engagement exercises.

  • For more information call Lucy Hughes on 01244 973 806 or Paul Ince on 0151 356 6951. The closing date for tender submissions is 14 September.
