Cheshire West reveals new £22m framework
Eight companies make up the roster, spread across four separate lots of the four-year refurbishment framework for Cheshire West & Cheshire Council.
The companies are:
• Forrest, Preston
• Wynne Construction, Denbighshire
• Cruden Small Works, Warrington
• Read Construction Holdings, Wrexham
• Seddon Property Services, Stoke-on-trent
• Mitie Property Services, Preston
• The Glover Construction Consortium, Chester
• Kaberry Building, Chester
The agreement will see the contractors deliver refurbishments across the council's property portfolio including schools, libraries, offices and other civic buildings.
Forest is best know as one of the leading service providers to the social housing sector in the North West, operating more than 75 per cent of the region's affordable homes. It has been delivering public building capital works services for over 20 years.
Lee McCarren, chief executive of Forrest, said: "The breadth of expertise that we have across our core service lines in regeneration, refurbishment, reactive and environmental services make us ideally placed to act as a supply chain partner to any organisation with significant property assets.
"This is a key win for the business as it highlights the success of our strategy to expand our presence in complementary markets."
