Cheshire shed deal completes
The Manchester office of property consultants Sanderson Weatherall and Jones Lang LaSalle have achieved one of the largest industrial lettings of 2012 with the Box Works agreeing a lease for £1/sq ft on 200,000 sq ft in Winsford Industrial Estate.
The unit in Road One was formerly occupied by DJM Logistics until the company entered administration in 2010.
The Box Works will use the site to manufacture and distribute components from cross-laminated timber build systems used in the construction industry.
David Murray, partner at the Manchester office of Sanderson Weatherall, said: "The letting to the Box Works was a significant deal on the estate and is encouraging to see despite difficult business conditions.
"We are pleased this sizeable requirement has been satisfied by a good quality building in an established industrial location which benefits from having a large skilled workforce."
Administrators Grant Thornton have now instructed Sanderson Weatherall and Jones Lang LaSalle to sell the property as an income producing investment with current rent in excess of £200,000 a year.
