Cheshire Oaks turnover up 22%

McArthurGlen UK, owner of Cheshire Oaks, looks set to continue expansion plans at the Ellesmere Port site after posting a 22% increase in sales.

The company recorded turnover of £31.8m in 2012, up year-on-year from £26.1m.

Operating profit rose from £5.48m to £5.84m while pre-tax levels rose from £5.3m to £5.8m.

Overall profit for the year dipped by £500,000 to £3m and no dividend payment has been recommended.

Notes accompanying the newly filed annual accounts said extensions were currently underway at six of its outlets.

The report said: "Extensions are being considered at four centres in Cheshire Oaks, Ashford, East Midlands and York.

"Numerous new opportunities are being investigated across Europe and the directors are also currently considering speculative developments outside of Europe."
