Cheshire East launches consultants framework
The local authority has issued a contract notice, highlighting its intention to create a consultants framework worth up to £3.8m to support construction activity.
The framework is to deliver construction-related professional services to all internal departments and any organisation that Cheshire East Council is associated with, including its wholly owned companies, schools, academies and parish or town councils.
There are eight lots available, with companies free to bid for more than one lot. The framework will last for four years, with an option to extend by a year. The council said that the lots might be suitable for SMEs to bid for, but that no weight would be attached to whether or not a bidder is an SME.
Lot 1: architectural services, estimated value range £370,000 to £660,000
Lot 2: building services engineering, estimated value range £190,000 to £340,000
Lot 3: quantity surveying services, estimated value range £320,000 to £580,000
Lot 4: structural engineering design/consultancy, estimated value range £100,000 to £170,000
Lot 5: building surveying, estimated value range £140,000 to £270,000
Lot 6: heritage architectural services, estimated value range £530,000 to £960,000
Lot 7: CDM client advisor, estimated value range £200,000 to £370,000
Lot 8: environmental & engineering services, estimated value range £290,000 to £430,000
The overall objective of the framework is to support the council to deliver their revenue and capital programmes by providing professional expertise and cost certainty, standardising and streamlining processes with continuous feedback and performance improvements and realising efficiencies through knowledge-sharing and monitoring and managing performance in cost and quality terms.
Tenders are invited until 26 January 2018.
