Peel has appointed Manchester-based independent retail and leisure letting specialists, Cheetham & Mortimer to focus on its retail and leisure accommodation at Media City UK.
The development is home to Wagamama, Prezzo, Costa Coffee, Pokusevski's, Dockyard and Damson, as well as a Booths supermarket, Dental, Once Upon a Time florist and WHSmith. There remain six units to let in the first phase ranging from 400 sq ft to 3,500 sq ft. Planning permission was secured recently for a 100,000 sq ft 10-storey building fronting Broadway, which will incorporate a 112-bed Premier Inn hotel and 50,000 sq ft of office space. Retail and leisure accommodation will be available on the ground floor.
Rents vary across the retail and leisure element from £15/sq ft to £30/sq ft.
Cheetham & Mortimer is sole retail agent. Cushman & Wakefield and CBRE are joint letting agents on the office element.
Work is due to start on the new building in spring 2015, with completion in summer 2016.
