The annual British Council of Shopping Centres conference due to be held in Liverpool in November will be lead-sponsored by the Irish developer, the BCSC said today.
The BCSC Conference & Showcase is the largest gathering of the retail property industry held in the UK – last year it attracted over 3,000 people and 112 exhibitors. The event will run from 10 to 12 November at ACC Liverpool, the city's new conference and concert venue.
Dominic Deeny, chief executive of Chartered Land, said: "Liverpool 2008 promises to be bigger and better than ever – it is the premier event in the retail property calendar and the place to experience the finest of our industry's products and practices."
The theme for the 2008 Conference will be 'Create' – BCSC president Martyn Chase explained: "The Create theme will celebrate 25 years of creating fantastic retail environments. It will highlight the huge contribution of the retail property industry over the last 25 years to delivering economic, social and environmental benefits across the UK."
Other sponsors supporting this event include, DTZ, Thornfield Bury Developments, Westfield, Lunson Mitchenall, Esquires, Davis Langdon, Gardiner & Theobold, and Eric Young & Co.
