Charity buys Blackpool office freehold

Drug support charity, Drugline Lancashire, has bought its office in Blackpool for £400,000 from its landlord Robert Graham Trustees.

The charity's main premises remain at Union Street in Preston but it now owns the lease to its Blackpool office on Dickson Road.

Ray Arnall, specialist property development solicitor, who advised on the deal, commented: "Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment and the third sector is certainly no exception. This freehold acquisition will give Drugline Lancashire the long-term security it needs as well as an investment value it can use to raise secured funding."

Drugline Lancashire was established in 1986 with support from NCH Action for Children. Since 1993, the service functions as an independent charity, striving to provide a comprehensive drugs service to Lancashire.

Manchester-based law firm, Glaisyers Solicitors LLP, advised Drugline Lancashire. Lloyds Banking Group financed the deal.
