Chapman Taylor promotes senior team in Manchester

Michael Swiszczowski has been appointed to the architecture firm’s UK board, while Rachel Rogerson and Mark Doughty have been promoted to director.

Swiszczowski is also Chapman Taylor’s residential director for the UK. Based in Manchester, he joined the studio in 2016. Swiszczowski is an elected member of the Regional Council for RIBA North West. Swiszczowski was also part of Place North West‘s panel of experts who weighed in on the biggest lesson learned in 2021 and what will dominate property headlines this year.

Rogerson joined Chapman Taylor in 2006 and leads the studio’s UK Technical Group.

Doughty also joined in 2006 and focuses on business development for the office workplace sector.

Other promotions in the firm’s Manchester office include Loretta Collins, Simon Marlin and Richard Daw being named associate directors.

The promotions are part of the company’s plan for the future.

“This is in line with our UK strategy to continue to diversify and strengthen our design expertise and management skills across all our studios,” said Chapman Taylor group board director Tim Partington.

“The range and depth of design skills these promotions bring in our Manchester studio, which celebrated its 20th year in 2020, will enable us to continue to grow and expand the business here.”

Chapman Taylor is part of the project team working with Bury Council to develop regeneration plans for the town centre. The firm is studio also designed Allied London’s proposed 300,000 sq ft warehouse at Enterprise City and the under-construction built-to-rent Anchorage Gateway in Salford Quays.
