Chamber director’s construction firm goes into administration
St Helens-based Paragon Construction Group has entered into administration and RSM Restructuring Advisory, based in Spinningfields, Manchester, has been appointed to run the firm.
Managing director Paul Barrow is on the board of directors at St Helens Chamber and was a grant audit panelist for the Regional Growth Fund in 2014.
Paragon Construction is understood to have been established 35 years ago and to have had 100 staff in its heyday.
Recent clients included Bolton and Stockport Councils, Arena Housing, Ministry of Defence, Sport England, Football Foundation and NHS Trust.
RSM was appointed administrator on 11 March. St Helens Chamber said Barrow resigned from the board on 17 March. This morning he was listed at Companies House as a director of St Helens Chamber Limited, having been appointed to the board in 2010, and on the chamber’s website until both listings were edited following contact from Place North West.
