CCI and Hill Dickinson to host contractors event

Law firm Hill Dickinson, in conjunction with Centre for Construction Innovation North West and the North West Construction Knowledge Hub, is to hold a contractors' conference on Tuesday 7 June at Haydock Park Racecourse.

As well as presentations from Hill Dickinson, the programme includes: Don Ward, chief executive of Constructing Excellence; Roy Stewart, chief executive of CCI, Sarah Hannaford QC at Keating Chambers and Nigel Brookes, managing director of Kier Northern.

The conference will explore key changes facing the construction industry and the impact they are likely to have on the contractor community.

Stewart will provide a brief review of the recent joint survey of the built environment in the North West and the importance of the low carbon economy.

Michael Woolley, head of construction at Hill Dickinson, said: "Hill Dickinson, CCINW and the NWCKH all have a responsibility to educate the North West construction sector on forthcoming issues that are likely to affect them. This event aims to equip contractors throughout the region with the best market knowledge to enable them to make informed business decisions.

"To achieve this objective, we are encouraging all contractors to complete the questionnaire and attend the event on 7 June."
